My main reason for blogging is to help people improve their financial prospects. Help my audience transition from baby of personal finance to a toddler at least. I am having a blast so far. In fact, Mrs Breathe Easy Finance is starting to enjoy blogging and the advancement of financial literacy.
Lets face it, blogging is not easy. I am sure you know that. When I started, all the blogs I read about starting a blog talked about how easy it is to start and how you can make passive income from it.
However, they never disclosed the amount of work involved and the cost it takes to maintain the blog. I am going to cut it straight to you right now. BLOGGING IS NOT PASSIVE. At least not in the beginning. Which is where i am standing.
In order to continue delivering awesome content and useful content, I had to find a way to pay for my hobby while also delivering value.
This is where the sponsors come in.
The blog sponsors that I am currently working with are the ones I have personally used in the past or I have done due diligence and make sure they are legit and also provide good and fair service.
We are happy to introduce our sponsors and we are very grateful to have them. If you end up using them, please let them know that you were referred from here. This would let them know the impact of our partnership and more likely to continue sponsoring us.
Blog sponsor #1 : Set For Life Insurance
This is the boldest of my sponsors. They were my first stab at getting a sponsor. I have worked with them in the past and I had a pleasurable experience.
Set for life insurance is the go to for all your disability insurance needs. They are non biased and they provided me with multiple quotes from many companies. My case was actually unique, due to the fact that I am Canadian. There are some companies that want you to only be in certain countries before they can pay out. They navigated me through the muddy waters to find the best deals for me.
If you know me enough, you know that I do my due diligence. Who ever worked with me know how obsessive I can be with financial matters. To the pennies. I asked them a lot of questions and they responded professionally and I am glad I worked with them.
Blog sponsor #2: Contract Diagnostics
Contract Diagnostics specializes in physician contract. That is all they do. That made them the best in that niche. If you do something long enough, and that is all you do, you ultimately master it. Thats just the rule of nature.
When I was making my transition from fellowship training to attendinghood, I used contract diagnostics to negotiate my contract.
My situation again, was unique. I was on J1 visa, and needed to complete my contract within a certain time frame to get my J1 waiver.
I ended up going for the package that allows Contract diagnostics to negotiate on my behalf. While I enjoyed the tug of war that goes on in negotiations, sometimes, it is better to leave it to the experts.
They were able to negotiate a stipend, a decent loan repayment and an awesome sign on bonus. They also helped change some languages that could lead to misunderstandings down the road like the termination clause.
You also want to negotiate that non-compete clause.
